Car Wrecked in break-in.

Well I'm sorry to have to post this - my Jaguar has been destroyed by vandals whilst locked up in my garage. Extensive damage to the whole car inside and out has occured, every panel on the bodywork has been damaged and the interior has been slashed with stanley knives. All side windows and windscreen have been smashed and all tyres punctured. Paint has also been poured all over the car including inside and over the engine.

This has obviously been a deliberate attack to ensure the car is beyond repair. It's not just been wrecked it is completely destroyed beyond restoration. Police forensics officers were of the opinion that the attack was done by someone with car knowledge due to the fact every part of the car has been damaged. This was also agreed by the insurance assesor.

Why? God only knows. I have absolutely no idea why anyone would want to destroy such a great car. The car has been declared a total loss by insurance, this however is immaterial to me as the car was so good it is irreplaceable. If you own a classic, prestige or sportscar please ensure your property is secure and consider an alarm system. My garage was completely secure, the vandals had tried to burst open the side window of the garage but it held, so they then used a glass cutter on the window to gain entry. I would also recommend you double check your insurance cover and keep your mot up to date etc.
The contents of my garage were also estensively damaged including tools, toolboxes equipment etc.

How? I just can't understand it. I feel sorry for someone who is so screwed up they could do that.
